Alumni Reunion
What are you planning in November?
Throughout 2007 the Birmingham City University is celebrating the 50 years of teaching in its Planning Department. Now part of the Faculty of Law, Humanities, Development and Society the Department would like to invite former planning students of Birmingham City University and its predecessor institutions UCE Birmingham and Birmingham Polytechnic to a grand reunion to be held later this year.
The reunion is taking place Friday 23rd November 2007 starting at 2.00pm and will be held in the Planning Department of the University offering former students the opportunity to revisit old haunts and see how things have changed. There will be time to socialise, talks by staff & alumni, tours of the campus and a buffet to close the proceedings.
Do you have any humorous stories about your time on the planning courses? Are you willing to share? We are still keen to hear from alumni who would like to take part in the personal reminiscences session at 3.30pm. If you are interested in sharing your stories, please email alumni@bcu.ac.uk and let us know!
As the reunion date coincides with the Christmas shopping period and the arrival of the Frankfurt Market it is hoped that guests will choose to extend their stay in the city and the Alumni Association will be offering an accommodation discount with a selected hotel chain for delegates.
The reunion is being sponsored by the Birmingham City University Alumni Association and is free to attend. Further details can be obtained by contacting the Association office on 0121 331 5506 or by email to rachel.whitehouse@bcu.ac.uk
Should you require accommodation please visit the Alumni Site where you will find information on hotel offers.
We have extended the registration period. All those wishing to attend the reunion now need to register by 12th October 2007 and can do this by emailing alumni@bcu.ac.uk. If you should miss this date, please contact the Alumni Association Office directly at alumni@bcu.ac.uk and they will be able to provide information on place availability.
